It’s been a while since I’ve blogged a wedding as I’m currently working on a separate brand for all my wedding work. I wanted to share this special Maleny wedding with you because people are assuming I’m no longer shooting wedding which isn’t the case. I’ve just been saving up all my weddings for when I launch my fresh new brand, very soon so keep posted.
At the initial meeting with Sammy and James, I knew we’d hit it off straight away, and so we did. James is from Zimbabwe and after meeting Sammy they started a charity, Diwa, to raise awareness in conservation and protection of the land and wildlife in the Zambezi area. With a passion for wildlife conservation you can see why I fell in love with these two.
Over a coffee and cake, at my favourite coffee shop which turns out to be theirs too, they described all ideas and vision for the wedding day. Sammy being a graphic designer had a big part to play in the creative side of things, and she did an incredible job designing stationary, labels, menus, pretty much everything you can see and of course helping out with the decorating. She even co-ordinated her own day, one talented lady all under her new brand Bow and Arbour.
The week before the wedding, there was torrential rain on the Sunshine Coast which had everyone praying for the weather to clear up before the big day. The weather could not have been more perfect at Maleny Retreat to kick off a beautiful ceremony and a big night dancing away under the stars.
